Part-time Training & Volunteer Coordinator

PBC is seeking a part-time Training and Volunteer Coordinator

Pro Bono Community is looking for a part-time Training and Volunteer Coordinator to help us run projects aimed at improving the amount and quality of access to justice by training law students and others and then placing them to work as volunteers at Law Centres and advice agencies.

Pro Bono Community is a registered charity that has developed specialised training programmes for students, trainees and lawyers specialising in the practical skills involved in delivering free legal advice and areas of social welfare law. In conjunction with the training, the charity coordinates volunteering placements at Law Centres and other advice agencies.

The Training and Volunteer Coordinator will report to and work alongside the Director to undertake work supporting the charity’s activities with a focus on recruiting and training students, trainees and lawyers and then coordinating volunteering placements for them at Law Centres and advice agencies.

This is a part-time, three days a week role although it is hoped that there will be scope to make it a full-time position in the future. The charity is seeking to appoint someone with knowledge of training and the advice sector and/or experience in a similar role. The position will carry a full-time equivalent salary of £26,500-28,500 depending on the level of experience offered. Occasional weekend work may be required. The role will involve working from home at first but the charity may move into new offices in London during the course of 2021. Initially, the contract will be for six months but we hope to be able to either renew or make it permanent thereafter. The role includes full-time equivalent annual leave of 25 days.
